Entre Arcos e Nervuras: Memória Gótica na Navarra
As ruínas da Igreja de São Pedro, localizadas no município de Viana, na comunidade foral de Navarra, Espanha, representam um testemunho significativo da arquitetura gótica da região. Construída originalmente no século XIII, a estrutura sofreu danos severos e irreparáveis durante as Guerras Carlistas no século XIX. Estes conflitos militares e intervenções posteriores levaram à destruição de grande parte do edifício, resultando no estado de ruína que se preserva até aos dias de hoje. Atualmente consolidado para evitar novas derrocadas, o local permite aos visitantes compreender a imponente volumetria original do templo. Situada numa paragem histórica do Caminho Francês de Santiago, esta ruína é um importante marco da herança medieval navarra.
The ruins of the Church of San Pedro, located in the municipality of Viana, in the autonomous community of Navarre, Spain, stand as a significant testament to the region’s Gothic architecture. Originally built in the 13th century, the structure suffered severe and irreparable damage during the Carlist Wars in the 19th century. These military conflicts and subsequent interventions led to the destruction of much of the building, resulting in the state of ruin that remains to this day.
