No coração da cidade histórica de Cáceres, ergue-se o Convento de San Pablo, um mosteiro de clausura habitado por monjas Clarissas. Fundado no século XV, o edifício exibe a sobriedade do gótico tardio, patente na sua portada com arco ogival e torre sineira em formato de espadana com três sinos. Originalmente um beaterio, o espaço evoluiu para convento, integrando elementos românicos e góticos. Atualmente, as religiosas dedicam-se à produção de doçaria artesanal de renome, como as "Yemas de San Pablo", mantendo vivas as receitas tradicionais. O Convento de San Pablo integra-se na Cidade Velha de Cáceres, um conjunto histórico-artístico classificado como Património Mundial pela UNESCO desde 1986, reconhecido pela sua fusão única de estilos arquitetónicos, com influências góticas, renascentistas, islâmicas e romanas.

In the heart of the historic city of Cáceres stands the Convent of San Pablo, a cloistered monastery inhabited by Poor Clare nuns. Founded in the 15th century, the building displays the sobriety of late Gothic architecture, evident in its ogival arch doorway and bell tower in the shape of a belfry with three bells. Originally a beaterio, the space evolved into a convent, integrating Romanesque and Gothic elements. Today, the nuns devote themselves to the production of renowned artisanal sweets, such as “Yemas de San Pablo,” keeping traditional recipes alive. The Convent of San Pablo is part of the Old Town of Cáceres, a historic-artistic site classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1986, recognized for its unique fusion of architectural styles, with Gothic, Renaissance, Islamic, and Roman influences.
