Entre a Piazzetta e o Mar da Ligúria
A marina e a "Piazzetta" de Portofino, uma antiga vila piscatória localizada na Riviera Italiana, na região da Ligúria. A arquitetura visível é caracterizada por edifícios altos e estreitos, pintados em tons quentes de ocre, terracota e amarelo, frequentemente adornados com a técnica de trompe-l'œil típica da região, que simula elementos arquitetónicos nas fachadas. As janelas apresentam as tradicionais portadas verdes lígures. Ao fundo, destaca-se a torre sineira listrada da Igreja de San Martino (Divo Martino), um edifício histórico cujas origens remontam ao século XII. Historicamente conhecida pelos romanos como Portus Delphini devido à abundância de golfinhos, a vila transformou-se, a partir do final do século XIX, de um modesto porto de pesca num destino de eleição para a aristocracia e turismo de luxo internacional. A geografia do local, um porto natural abrigado num promontório densamente arborizado com pinheiros e oliveiras, contribui para a sua preservação e exclusividade, limitando a expansão urbana e mantendo a sua configuração histórica intacta.
The marina and the “Piazzetta” of Portofino, a former fishing village located on the Italian Riviera in the Liguria region. The architecture is characterized by tall, narrow buildings painted in warm shades of ochre, terracotta, and yellow, often adorned with the trompe-l’œil technique typical of the region, which simulates architectural elements on the facades. The windows feature traditional Ligurian green shutters. In the background stands the striped bell tower of the Church of San Martino (Divo Martino), a historic building whose origins date back to the 12th century. Historically known to the Romans as Portus Delphini due to the abundance of dolphins, the village transformed, starting in the late 19th century, from a modest fishing port into a destination of choice for the aristocracy and international luxury tourism. The geography of the site—a natural harbor sheltered by a promontory densely forested with pine and olive trees—contributes to its preservation and exclusivity, limiting urban expansion and keeping its historic layout intact.
