Ao fundo, o campanário assinala a centralidade paroquial no traçado do povoado, enquanto os socalcos com oliveiras e pinheiros-mansos evidenciam práticas agrícolas mediterrânicas. A área integra o Parco Naturale Regionale di Portofino e beneficia da Área Marinha Protegida criada em 1999, que regula ancoragens e atividades náuticas.
The port of Portofino, on the Italian Riviera (Liguria), occupies a narrow natural cove that serves as a shelter from the open sea, limiting the size of the vessels that can dock there and resulting in the urban frontage being very close to the water. The tall, narrow facades, painted in warm tones, follow a Ligurian style adapted to steep slopes; many use decorative painting to simulate moldings and stonework elements, an economical solution typical of the region. The riverside square (the “piazzetta”) is home to cafés and shops, now geared toward tourism but historically linked to fishing and coastal navigation in the former Genoese sphere of influence. In the background, the bell tower marks the parish center within the village layout, while the terraces with olive trees and stone pines highlight Mediterranean agricultural practices. The area is part of the Portofino Regional Nature Park and benefits from the Marine Protected Area established in 1999, which regulates anchoring and nautical activities.
