Curto-Circuito Urbano: A Batida Mecânica de Ourense
Esta intervenção de arte urbana, situada no túnel pedonal sob o acesso à autoestrada A52, na zona do Camiño Vía Vella-Puente em Ourense, Galiza, apresenta uma reinterpretação nostálgica da cultura pop dos anos 80. O mural retrata detalhadamente o icónico robô "Johnny 5", protagonista do filme de ficção científica Short Circuit (1986), estilizado com elementos visuais característicos da cultura Hip-Hop "Old School". A personagem surge antropomorfizada, ostentando um rádio portátil (boombox) ao ombro, uma lata de tinta em spray na mão esquerda, um colar dourado e um boné verde com a inicial "O" — uma referência direta à cidade de Ourense. A obra distingue-se pela técnica apurada de iluminação e sombreamento sobre o betão bruto, integrando símbolos contemporâneos, como o logótipo da Nike nas lagartas de tração, fundindo o imaginário cinematográfico com a estética do streetwear. Este tipo de manifestação artística em infraestruturas viárias cumpre uma função dupla: humanizar espaços de passagem cinzentos e revitalizar áreas periféricas, transformando superfícies funcionais em galerias ao ar livre que dialogam com a memória coletiva global.
This urban art intervention, located in the pedestrian tunnel under the A52 motorway access in the Camiño Vía Vella-Puente area of Ourense, Galicia, presents a nostalgic reinterpretation of 1980s pop culture.
