The “Piazzetta,” the center of the village, marks the transition to elite tourism, with yachts and pleasure boats replacing fishing boats. In the background, the green hillside is part of the Portofino Regional Natural Park, protecting the Mediterranean vegetation. The Lombard Romanesque-style Church of San Martino stands out, as does the Portofino Marine Protected Area, known for its rich marine life and the Christ of the Abyss.
