Trilhos e Vales: Explorando a Diversidade da Serra do Marão
A Serra do Marão, situada no norte de Portugal e com uma altitude que a coloca entre as principais elevações do país, apresenta-se em finais de novembro com a paleta outonal característica da transição para o inverno. Esta barreira natural, composta geologicamente por xisto e granito, separa o litoral do interior, marcando uma divisão climática significativa. A vegetação predominante inclui urzes, carquejas, giestas, pinheiros, carvalhos e castanheiros, adaptados ao clima rigoroso de montanha. A paisagem é marcada por declives acentuados e afloramentos rochosos, e pontuada por infraestruturas como torres de alta tensão. Os trilhos pedestres, que serpenteiam por vales e cumes, atraem caminhantes e amantes da natureza, proporcionando vistas panorâmicas e a oportunidade de explorar a biodiversidade local, numa área integrada na Rede Natura 2000, com ‘habitats’ protegidos.
The Serra do Marão, located in northern Portugal and with an altitude that places it among the country's highest peaks, presents itself at the end of November with the autumnal palette characteristic of the transition to winter. This natural barrier, geologically composed of schist and granite, separates the coast from the interior, marking a significant climatic division. The predominant vegetation includes heather, gorse, broom, pine, oak, and chestnut trees, adapted to the harsh mountain climate. The landscape is marked by steep slopes and rocky outcrops, and punctuated by infrastructure such as high-voltage towers. The hiking trails, which wind through valleys and ridges, attract hikers and nature lovers, offering panoramic views and the opportunity to explore the local biodiversity in an area that is part of the Natura 2000 Network, with protected habitats.
