A Igreja de San Juan de Puerta Nueva, em Zamora, destaca-se pelo seu portal românico do século XII e pela rosácea que o coroa, ambos elementos emblemáticos do património arquitetónico da cidade. O portal exibe uma arcada de volta perfeita com arquivoltas ornamentadas com motivos florais, suportadas por colunas com capitéis esculpidos. Acima, a rosácea, um dos traços distintivos do românico zamorano, apresenta um desenho radial que permite a entrada de luz natural no interior da igreja. Construída a partir da segunda metade do século XII, a igreja sofreu alterações significativas, nomeadamente após o desabamento da torre em 1559, que levou à sua reconfiguração para uma nave única. Localizada na Plaza Mayor, a igreja, outrora com três naves, é testemunho da importância histórica e artística de Zamora, tendo sido declarada Monumento Histórico em 1961.

The Church of San Juan de Puerta Nueva, in Zamora, is notable for its 12th-century Romanesque portal and the rose window that crowns it, both emblematic elements of the city's architectural heritage. The portal features a perfect arch with archivolts adorned with floral motifs, supported by columns with sculpted capitals. Above, the rose window, one of the distinctive features of the Zamoran Romanesque, has a radial design that allows natural light to enter the interior of the church. Built from the second half of the 12th century, the church underwent significant changes, particularly after the collapse of the tower in 1559, which led to its reconfiguration into a single nave. Located in Plaza Mayor, the church, which once had three naves, bears witness to the historical and artistic importance of Zamora, having been declared a Historic Monument in 1961.
