Segmento do "Camino de Hierro", um percurso pedestre de cerca de 17 quilómetros, que segue o antigo traçado da desativada Linha do Douro, entre a estação de La Fregeneda e a ponte internacional sobre o rio Águeda, junto a Barca d'Alva. A linha, inaugurada em 1887 para unir a região do Douro ao resto da Europa, foi encerrada ao tráfego em 1985 e, após reabilitação, reabriu como rota pedonal em 2021. Este trajeto, ladeado por vinhas e vegetação mediterrânica, é caracterizado por 10 pontes metálicas e 20 túneis escavados na rocha, servindo de passagem para caminhantes que exploram a paisagem do Parque Natural Arribes do Douro. O caminho culmina no cais fluvial de Vega de Terrón, reconhecido como o único porto fluvial de Castela e Leão, onde o Águeda desagua no Douro, oferecendo um acesso privilegiado ao património natural e histórico associado ao antigo eixo ferroviário.

A segment of the 'Camino de Hierro', a pedestrian route of about 17 kilometers, which follows the old route of the deactivated Douro Line, between the station of La Fregeneda and the international bridge over the Águeda river, next to Barca d'Alva. The line, inaugurated in 1887 to connect the Douro region to the rest of Europe, was closed to traffic in 1985 and, after rehabilitation, reopened as a pedestrian route in 2021. This route, flanked by vineyards and Mediterranean vegetation, is characterized by 10 metal bridges and 20 tunnels carved into the rock, serving as a passage for walkers exploring the landscape of the Arribes do Douro Natural Park. The path culminates at the Vega de Terrón river pier, recognized as the only river port in Castile and León, where the Águeda flows into the Douro, offering privileged access to the natural and historical heritage associated with the old railway axis.
