In the Alvão Natural Park, the Olo river winds through deep valleys, approaching the Fisgas de Ermelo, a remarkable river gap. The image, taken in February, reveals a flow increased by winter rainfall, highlighting the vegetation composed of pine trees and bushes resistant to low temperatures, where heather and gorse punctuate the landscape. The geology of the region, marked by the transition between granite and shale, favors the formation of waterfalls and natural pools along the course of the river, which originates in the Alvão mountain range.
