Via Roma, a principal artéria de Monterosso al Mare, a maior das cinco vilas de Cinque Terre, na Ligúria, Património Mundial da UNESCO. A rua, coração comercial e social da localidade, pulsa com a atividade de restaurantes, cafés e lojas que oferecem produtos regionais. Ao fundo, a torre medieval, parte da Igreja de São João Batista, ergue-se como um testemunho da função defensiva da vila, protegendo-a de ataques marítimos. Monterosso distingue-se das restantes aldeias por possuir a maior praia arenosa, dividindo-se entre a zona histórica, ou borgo vecchio, e a área mais moderna, Fegina, onde se situa a estação de comboios. A Via Roma, juntamente com as ruelas adjacentes (caruggi), atrai tanto locais como turistas, funcionando como porta de entrada para a exploração do Parque Nacional das Cinque Terre.

Via Roma, the main artery of Monterosso al Mare, the largest of the five villages of Cinque Terre, in Liguria, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The street, the commercial and social heart of the town, pulsates with the activity of restaurants, cafes and shops offering regional products. In the background, the medieval tower, part of the Church of St. John the Baptist, stands as a testament to the village's defensive function, protecting it from maritime attacks. Monterosso is distinguished from the other villages by having the largest sandy beach, divided between the historic area, or borgo vecchio, and the more modern area, Fegina, where the train station is located. Via Roma, along with the adjacent alleys (caruggi), attracts both locals and tourists, serving as a gateway to the exploration of the Cinque Terre National Park.
