A ramada de limoeiros integra o Festival Internacional de Jardins de Ponte de Lima, evento anual realizado desde 2005 na margem direita do rio Lima, que reúne doze jardins efémeros renovados a cada edição. Esta estrutura pré-existente, composta por árvores frutíferas conduzidas em forma de túnel vegetal, oferece um percurso sombreado e fresco aos visitantes, evocando uma prática agrícola tradicional do Mediterrâneo adaptada ao contexto minhoto. Além da sua função de conforto microclimático, a ramada simboliza a importância dos citrinos no património agrícola do Vale do Lima. O festival promove a inovação em arquitetura paisagística, convidando criadores nacionais e internacionais a desenvolver instalações temporárias que dialoguem com o património natural e cultural da região. Ao integrar elementos produtivos como os limoeiros em espaços temáticos, o evento valoriza métodos de cultivo sustentável e a ligação entre horticultura, design paisagístico e usos lúdicos do território. A mostra decorre anualmente entre o final de maio e 31 de outubro e já recebeu reconhecimento internacional.

The lemon grove is part of the Ponte de Lima International Garden Festival, an annual event held since 2005 on the right bank of the River Lima, which brings together twelve ephemeral gardens that are renewed at each edition. This pre-existing structure, made up of fruit trees led in the form of a vegetable tunnel, offers a shaded and cool path for visitors, evoking a traditional Mediterranean agricultural practice adapted to the context of Minho. In addition to its microclimate comfort function, the ramada symbolizes the importance of citrus fruits in the Lima Valley's agricultural heritage. The festival promotes innovation in landscape architecture, inviting national and international creators to develop temporary installations that engage with the region's natural and cultural heritage. By integrating productive elements such as lemon trees into themed spaces, the event values sustainable cultivation methods and the link between horticulture, landscape design and recreational uses of the territory. The show takes place annually between the end of May and October 31 and has already received international recognition.
