O Menino Jesus da Cartolinha, venerado na Sé de Miranda do Douro, é uma singular imagem do século XVIII que personifica a identidade e religiosidade mirandesas. A tradição local associa esta figura, vestida com cartola e traje de gala, a um episódio da Guerra de Sucessão Espanhola, onde um jovem fidalgo cavaleiro, surgido nas muralhas, terá inspirado a resistência e consequente expulsão dos invasores. A imagem, exposta num altar próprio com pinturas murais, recebe inúmeras ofertas votivas, representadas em trajes miniatura de diversas profissões e cores litúrgicas. Anualmente, no Dia de Reis, o Menino Jesus da Cartolinha participa na procissão, vestido com a tradicional capa de honras mirandesa e transportado por crianças da cidade.

The Baby Jesus of Cartolinha, venerated in the Cathedral of Miranda do Douro, is a unique 18th-century image that embodies the identity and religiosity of Miranda. Local tradition associates this figure, dressed in a top hat and formal attire, with an episode from the War of Spanish Succession, in which a young noble knight, appearing on the ramparts, inspired resistance and the subsequent expulsion of the invaders. The image, displayed on its own altar with mural paintings, receives numerous votive offerings, represented in miniature costumes of various professions and liturgical colors. Every year, on Three Kings' Day, the Baby Jesus of Cartolinha participates in the procession, dressed in the traditional Mirandese cape of honor and carried by children from the city.
