Na região do Douro, em Peso da Régua, coração económico da mais antiga região vinícola demarcada do mundo (criada em 1756 por alvará régio de D. José I), a vindima é uma atividade crucial e tradicional. Entre setembro e outubro, trabalhadores colhem manualmente as uvas maduras nas íngremes encostas e socalcos do Alto Douro Vinhateiro, Património Mundial da UNESCO, utilizando baldes para transportar a colheita. Esta prática, fundamental para a produção de vinhos de alta qualidade, incluindo o mundialmente reconhecido Vinho do Porto, é também um importante momento cultural e comunitário na região, representando uma tradição que se mantém fiel à paisagem única do Douro.

In the Douro region, in Peso da Régua, the economic heart of the oldest demarcated wine region in the world (created in 1756 by royal decree of King José I), the grape harvest is a crucial and traditional activity. Between September and October, workers harvest the ripe grapes by hand on the steep slopes and terraces of the Alto Douro Wine Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, using buckets to transport the harvest. This practice, fundamental to the production of high-quality wines, including the world-renowned Port, is also an important cultural and community moment in the region, representing a tradition that remains true to the Douro's unique landscape.
