A Rua Dom Antão de Almada, situada na Baixa Pombalina de Lisboa, é um importante espaço pedonal que presta homenagem a um dos quarenta conjurados responsáveis pela Restauração da Independência de Portugal em 1640. Batizada em 1950, a rua recorda um dos participantes na conjura de 1640, acontecimento intimamente ligado ao vizinho Palácio da Independência, Monumento Nacional que testemunhou eventos históricos cruciais. A rua exibe o característico traçado simétrico e as fachadas regulares da arquitetura pombalina. O piso térreo é dinâmico, com comércio e esplanadas que animam o espaço, refletindo a interação entre património, vida quotidiana e a vibrante vida urbana lisboeta. 

Dom Antão de Almada Street, located in the Baixa Pombalina of Lisbon, is an important pedestrian space that pays tribute to one of the forty conspirators responsible for the Restoration of Independence of Portugal in 1640. Named in 1950, the street commemorates one of the participants in the 1640 conspiracy, an event closely linked to the neighboring Palace of Independence, a National Monument that witnessed crucial historical events. The street displays the characteristic symmetrical layout and regular facades of Pombaline architecture. The ground floor is dynamic, with shops and terraces that animate the space, reflecting the interaction between heritage, daily life and the vibrant urban life of Lisbon.
