Vista de Riomaggiore, a mais oriental das cinco aldeias de Cinque Terre, na costa da Ligúria, Itália. As casas coloridas em tons de vermelho, amarelo e laranja erguem-se sobre os penhascos rochosos, numa arquitetura típica da região. Esta vila piscatória, fundada no século XIII, preserva a sua estrutura medieval e é Património Mundial da UNESCO desde 1997. Os promontórios rochosos e águas cristalinas que circundam a aldeia atraem visitantes por todo o mundo, sendo a aproximação por barco uma das formas mais pitorescas de aceder à região, permitindo visualizar a harmonia entre a intervenção humana e a natureza acidentada da costa italiana.

View of Riomaggiore, the easternmost of the five villages of Cinque Terre, on the coast of Liguria, Italy. The colorful houses in shades of red, yellow and orange stand on the rocky cliffs, in a typical architecture of the region. This fishing village, founded in the 13th century, preserves its medieval structure and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. The rocky promontories and crystal clear waters that surround the village attract visitors from all over the world, and the approach by boat is one of the most picturesque ways to access the region, allowing one to visualize the harmony between human intervention and the rugged nature of the Italian coast.
