Os Passadiços do Rio Vizela, localizados junto a uma linha de água secundária que desagua no Vizela nas imediações da Cascata de Rompecias, na freguesia de Santa Eulália, concelho de Vizela, integram um projeto de valorização ambiental e turística da bacia hidrográfica do Vizela, afluente do rio Ave. Este percurso pedonal de 6 km, inaugurado em março de 2024, atravessa zonas de galeria ripícola e mata autóctone, bem como áreas urbanas, rurais e florestais, apresentando vestígios de antigas levadas e caminhos rurais utilizados para acesso a moinhos e terrenos agrícolas. A estrutura inclui seis pontes, quatro travessias sobre o rio e iluminação LED, que possibilita caminhadas noturnas. A cascata, rodeada por vegetação luxuriante, tornou-se um dos principais pontos de atração deste novo equipamento turístico do Minho, resultado de um investimento de 1,8 milhões de euros, com comparticipação do COMPETE 2020, visando a requalificação das margens do rio e o desenvolvimento sustentável do turismo na região.

The Vizela River Walkways, located next to a secondary water line that flows into the Vizela in the vicinity of the Rompecias Waterfall, in the parish of Santa Eulália, municipality of Vizela, are part of an environmental and tourist enhancement project of the Vizela river basin, a tributary of the Ave River. This 6 km pedestrian route, inaugurated in March 2024, crosses areas of riparian gallery and native forest, as well as urban, rural and forest areas, presenting traces of old channels and rural paths used to access mills and agricultural land. The structure includes six bridges, four crossings over the river and LED lighting, which allows night walks. The waterfall, surrounded by lush vegetation, has become one of the main attractions of this new tourist equipment in Minho, the result of an investment of 1.8 million euros, with the participation of COMPETE 2020, aiming at the requalification of the river banks and the sustainable development of tourism in the region.
