A aldeia de Quintandona, em Penafiel, preserva um valioso património arquitetónico vernacular, com construções em pedra e telhados de telha cerâmica, refletindo a sua história rural. Localizada numa zona de transição geológica entre as serras de Valongo e o maciço granítico, a aldeia mantém o seu traçado original, incluindo um característico lavadouro em xisto, granito e lousa. Integrada na rede das Aldeias de Portugal desde 2003 e núcleo vivo do Museu Municipal de Penafiel desde 2013, Quintandona oferece aos visitantes um testemunho da vida rural tradicional, com ruelas empedradas, casas-pátio e um Centro Interpretativo que divulga a sua história, cultura e produtos regionais, incluindo a anual Festa do Caldo.

The village of Quintandona, in Penafiel, preserves a valuable vernacular architectural heritage, with stone constructions and ceramic tile roofs, reflecting its rural history. Located in a geological transition zone between the Valongo mountain ranges and the granite massif, the village maintains its original layout, including a characteristic shale, granite and slate washhouse. Integrated in the network of the Villages of Portugal since 2003 and the living core of the Municipal Museum of Penafiel since 2013, Quintandona offers visitors a testimony of traditional rural life, with cobbled streets, patio houses and an Interpretive Center that disseminates its history, culture and regional products, including the annual Broth Festival.
